Transition - Version 1
5m 15s
Behind the Song:
Transition grew out of a blog post I originally wrote in 2020, during the height of COVID, when so much of life seemed to be changing all at once. It was a time that led many of us to slow down, turn inward, reflect on what truly mattered, and reconsider what we wanted our lives to look like moving forward. Years later, I revisited those words and transformed them into this song about reflection, gratitude, authenticity, healing, and finding your way through times of change.
A note about these lyrics:
When I say, “For those always helping others, don't let it come at the cost of your own well-being,” I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't make sacrifices for others or be there for someone when they need us. Sometimes caring for the people we love does require putting their needs ahead of our own.
These lines are about the bigger pattern of continually giving so much of ourselves that we become depleted and consistently neglect our own well-being. We can care deeply for others while remembering that we need care, too.

About
I am a storyteller at heart, and songwriting has become the way I share my voice with the world. Each song begins with my own thoughts, imagination, creativity, personal experiences, and the countless people who have touched my life over the years. Some songs are inspired by family traditions, childhood memories, beloved pets, and meaningful relationships. Others explore healing, kindness, resilience, gratitude, and the beauty found in everyday life. Regardless of the subject, each song reflects my voice, my perspective, and my heartfelt desire to create music that uplifts, comforts, and connects us through the stories we all carry.
